THE EXHIBITION
“Thriving Spaces" is an exhibition inspired by a strong longing for spring and the importance of having spaces where you can grow and thrive to become who you are.
It's an invitation to reflect in what it means to be human - the surroundings, everyday life and the people living it.
With a mix of monochromatic surfaces with more textured ones, saturated colors with more earth-toned colors, the images build an experience where some parts connect with the real world whereas others are more simplified and imaginative.
THE ARTIST
Josefin Lidh is a visual artist, freelance illustrator and UX/graphic designer. Her inspiration comes from what she sees around her, often in small details which others might overlook. Her images come to life from a variation and sometimes combination of analogue and digital techniques.
In her own words: "When I create, I strive to have a playful approach where excitement is the driving force. In a world that can easily feel threatening, stressful and overwhelming, I hope, with my images, to be able to contribute to lifting and lightening up, as well as to create relatable moments."
